Located in Hyderabad, the store, spread across 4,000 sq ft, dons a contemporary and elegant look in its design and look.
Meena Bazaar, the ethnic wear retail brand known for its exclusive and exquisite range of sarees, suits, link feanonik gehengas, kurtis, gowns, anarkalis, has become a synonym for heritage fashion wear. The brand’s Hyderabad store design gives a contemporary twist to traditional forms and motifs that are iconic of the city. Talking about the brief given to the designers, Vishal Jethwani, Owner, Meena Bazaar said, “I wanted a premium look and feel for the store considering factors like location of the store and the high-end bridal fashion products displayed at the store. Any customer walking in the store should get a ‘wow’ factor.”
The store designed under the direction of Deodutta Mulye, Director, JCA Architects, offers a tribute to Hyderabad’s rich cultural diversity and royal legacy and portrays the city’s elegant fashion sensibility inside the store. “We decided to give a contemporary twist to the traditional forms and motifs found in the old city. Modern materials give a refreshing feel and outlook to the old world charm. The styling was crafted nicely with minaret skylines in sync with the Islamic patterns found in the architecture of the city. Other elements like colonnades of the old building were represented in a contemporary background inserted with reflective mirrors. Overall the store is a perfect blend of contemporary fashion and old-world charm,” explains Deodutta.
