Tupperware India launches its 9th Exclusive Brand Outlet in India

Tupperware, a well-recognized and loved global brand based out of Orlando, US, announced the opening of its exclusive Outlet at one of South Delhi’s oldest and most popular markets- Kalkaji on Thursday. The launch is in line with Tupperware’s recent announcement to pursue a multi-channel strategy. The revised strategy entails entry into e-tail and opening of exclusive brand outlets to increase consumer touch points and enhance product experience and delight.
“Delhi has been an important market for Tupperware. The brand enjoys a strong consumer base and high demand in the region.” Tupperware said in a statement.
As part of the strategic expansion of sales channels, Tupperware launched the first Exclusive Brand Outlet in the city on 29th July in Paschim Vihar. Second, newly inaugurated outlet, is located in Kalkaji Market Situated in South Delhi, the market is accessible from the famous commercial centre of Nehru Place as well, and experiences high footfall. Being one of the most popular shopping hubs in the region, the market attracts millennials and new age evolved consumers, an appropriate target set for Tupperware. Presence at such a location will give impetus to the brand’s consumer outreach.
Speaking about the outlet launch and latest business transformations, Deepak Chhabra, Managing Director, Tupperware India, said, “As a premium lifestyle brand, Tupperware has been catering to evolved consumers across the country for the last 23 years through an immensely successful direct selling network. However, in today’s digital world, increasing customer access to our products is a clear imperative. I am delighted that consumers in Delhi will now have the opportunity to experience and buy our wide range of products at the brand outlet. Delhi is a huge market and presents a great potential which is reflected in the increasing enquiries about our products in the past. The addition of another outlet will help us address existing demand effectively, reach new customers and bolster our share of the market”.
The newly launched Outlet will be run by Outlet Franchisee Prabha Golcha. She has been associated with Tupperware for over a decade and has had a remarkable journey with the brand. Delighted to begin a new chapter in her association with the brand, Prabha Golcha said, “Tupperware offers a wide variety of products which haven’t been explored to their full potential. A comprehensive showcase of products under one roof will bring the magic of Tupperware alive and will expand our customer reach.”
With a target to reach 35 million households, Tupperware plans to open over 30 Exclusive Brand Outlets within current year. Initial locations include - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Surat, Ahmedabad, Patna and Pune. On the e-com front, all products will be available on the official brand portal and will be listed on leading marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart via Tupperware Authorized Sellers. Tupperware’s multi-channel strategy will provide a holistic brand experience to customers with appropriate and relevant product lines made available at different touch points. In due course Tupperware will look at offerings its complete product portfolio through various touchpoints.
According to the statement, this is a turning point in the brand’s India journey and will help Tupperware embark on a strong growth trajectory. The brand has also launched effective marketing campaigns to support the announcement and evangelize its multi-channel foray to relevant consumer segments across the country.
