Centro opens new store in Hyderabad’s Sarath City Capital Mall

Multi-brand footwear retailer Centro, has recently opened a new store in Hyderabad’s Sarath City Capital Mall. Spread across 7500 sqft, the new store is designed by the Chennai-based Saran Associates.

Talking about the store design, Ashateet Saran, Design Head of Saran Associates told Retail4Growth, “The brief given by the client was to keep the store contemporary and functional. I remember Sridhar quoting “yeh juute ki dukaan hai" basically saying let’s get the basics right. And make the store approachable for all kind of customers. The idea was to bring forth the brand identity and keep it simple. When it comes down to aesthetics, we consciously wanted a repetitive form which is inspired from the logo. We chose circle which represents focus, wholeness, unity and infinity. That’s how we started working on the brand identity for store design.”

Centro has over 32 stores in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. Going ahead, Centro plans to set up nine more stores in the next six months in the southern and central region of India with focus on tier-2 and 3 cities.
